1. Who We Are

Food Options ("we", "our", "us") is a Shopify app that allows merchants to add custom fields, date pickers, and add-on pricing to their product pages. Our app is available through the Shopify App Store and is operated by Innovage.io.

2. Data We Collect

We collect and store only the minimum data necessary to operate the app:

  • Shop domain — to identify your store and deliver app functionality.
  • Access token — encrypted and stored to make Shopify Admin API calls on your behalf.
  • Field sets and field configurations — the custom fields you create in the app.
  • Order slot / booking data — pick-up dates chosen by your customers when the date picker is used.

We do not store customer names, email addresses, payment details, or any personally identifiable information (PII) about your shoppers beyond what is inherent in order slot records.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To render custom fields on your product pages via our theme extension.
  • To process and display custom field values on order confirmations.
  • To manage pick-up date availability and capacity limits.
  • To register and maintain your billing subscription via the Shopify Billing API.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties except as required to operate the service (e.g. our hosting provider, Vercel, and our database provider). All sub-processors are contractually bound to appropriate data protection standards.

5. Data Retention

When you uninstall the app, your data is retained for 30 days (as required by Shopify's Partner Programme Agreement and applicable GDPR obligations), after which it is permanently deleted from our systems.

6. Customer Data Requests

If one of your customers requests access to or deletion of their data that may reside in our systems, please contact us at support@innovage.io and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Security

Access tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. All data is transmitted over TLS. We follow Shopify's security guidelines for app development.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@innovage.io.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify merchants of material changes by posting the updated policy at this URL. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
